WCS Data Cache

Data that is cached by the WebSphere Commerce data cache can be configured by using either the command caching or DistributedMap objects configuration methods. For the best performance, use DistributedMap object cache configuration. Command caching configuration is provided for compatibility with earlier versions only.

Extending an SOI service with UserData

Customization of the Order noun by using the UserData field. This involves extending the Order noun of the Web services architecture to include new information. UserData is used to transfer the new Order information from the front end to WebSphere Commerce where it persists to the database.
